When you step into the Johannes-Hoeve in Baarlo, you immediately feel that this is no ordinary place. The peace, charm and warm atmosphere combine to tell a story that is almost a century old.
From farmhouse to guesthouse The Johannes-Hoeve has its origins in the year 1930. At that time, the farm was built as a traditional Limburg farm, firmly rooted in the village life of Baarlo. For generations, it was a place where people lived, worked and ate together. The thick walls and authentic building style still tell of that time of simplicity and connectedness.
A new destination with respect for the past In 2010, Frank and Ine Peeters decided to give the farm a second life. With much care and love, the old farmhouse was restored. Original details, such as wooden beams, stable windows and farm stone floors, were preserved and expertly combined with modern comfort.
A year later, in 2011, the back house was also given a new purpose. This was transformed into the attractive Atelier Johannes-Hoeve: a place for creativity, peace and inspiration. In this way, every part of the farmstead was given a function appropriate to our times, without losing its soul.
Experience it yourself Anyone staying at the Johannes-Hoeve experiences more than just a stay. It is an introduction to a place full of memories, craft and genuine hospitality. Come and discover for yourself how history, nature and comfort meet at this special place in Limburg.
